Forte News - February/March
Who’s looking forward to spring? We are for sure, and the first signs are already here! Even if we give this year’s snowy winter a thumbs up, we are still hoping for warmer days so we can spend more time outside.
Because of the pandemic, we’ve been stuck indoors a lot recently. It has made it more challenging to stay in touch with people and build relations, but we don’t give up. We have come up with various activities aimed at integrating our teams, and you know what? People really appreciate it! And now more and more people are coming to the office, which is even better. It has become quite unusual and even surprising to meet people in person, but we think it’s great. As long as we keep safety in mind, we love giving people a chance to visit Krupnicza 3 from time to time.
Our Kraków office is busy! There’s a growing demand for our services on the Scandinavian market. Most of our existing (and happy) customers are ready to step up the pace – including the Norwegian college Høyskolen Kristiania, the publishing house Gyldendal, the office furniture manufacturer Flokk, and Norway’s largest real estate developer OBOS. There are new projects in the pipeline to extend their digital platforms or establish brand new teams. We also have new customers, including two startups that need bespoke development solutions based on our core technology stack React / .NET / Azure. At the moment, we are setting up teams for these new endeavors.
We are investing in our own products too. Together with our partner in Switzerland, we have finished the MVP version of one service and will now move on to testing it in the market. We are also establishing a team to further develop Banner Builder, our platform for marketers.
We have increased our Lifecycle team to be able to ensure continuous development and operations for our growing list of existing customers. Our great and creative design team in Kraków is growing too. The fab work they do has led to increasing demand for visual and user experience design services, all delivered in the new, remote world.
With new projects coming up, we need more people.
As we all know, time is money. We get it that people don’t want to risk buying a pig in a poke, and that’s why we have launched a series of videos that describe our products and show what kind of company we are. Check out the videos on YouTube.
For those who want to learn more about us before joining the recruitment process, we can arrange a virtual coffee meeting. Contact Anna Kaczuro at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to give it a go!
To find out more about how we hire people, we recommend one of our latest videos called Recruitment process.
So who are we looking for now? Here’s a list of roles:
- Tech Leads
- Full-stack/.NET Developers (mid, senior)
- Front-end developers
People at Forte_
Eight people have joined Forte Digital in Krakow since January. We are happy to welcome – Paulina (a designer), Paweł, Adam, Darek, Jonasz, Kamil, Tomek and Piotr (developers). They have brought new energy to Forte_.
We also celebrated seven birthdays and enjoyed lots of yummy donuts on Fat Thursday.
As I mentioned in the introduction, it has become more challenging to integrate new employees. At the same time, it may be more important than ever and we keep arranging various initiatives to make people smile, build relations and just have fun.
In January, we had a photo competition on the topic of winter. The results were amazing and we could vote for our three favorite pictures.
Knowing that many companies are in trouble at the moment, we organized a couple of activities to support local businesses and have tons of fun at the same time. One initiative was a guided tour in Kraków, where participants had a chance to learn more about their city. Another was remote wine tasting – lots of people joined and had many questions. Not to mention the fact that the red Chilean wine and delicious cheese made a perfect combination for a February evening.
As a company that feels socially responsible and likes to engage in various charity actions, we couldn’t miss out on creating our own eCollection box. WOŚP’s idea with the boxes was brilliant!!!
Last but not least, twice a year we can vote for Forte_ Budżet Obywatelski, or the employees’ social initiatives. This time, the winning idea turned out to be… a nap room 😊 We can’t wait! 😊
We have plenty of other ideas to test in the near future and will share them in the next newsletter. Stay tuned and have a great month!!!
